Dev Hynes performing score of James Franco film 'Palo Alto' in NYC (stream a track); Blood Orange's free NYC show is soon

Blood Orange mastermind Dev Hynes has just announced a performance of his score from Gia Coppola’s new film Palo Alto (based on the book by James Franco, who also stars in the film) in tandem with a screening of the film. The performance will take place in NYC at BRIC House on October 9. Tickets will be available to BRIC members starting Tuesday August 12 at noon, and to the general public the following Tuesday, August 19, at the same time. Hynes’s label, Domino, has put up a new stream of one of the tracks from the Palo Alto score, called “Fred Drives,” which you can check out below.

As discussed, Blood Orange also have a free show coming up at Central Park Summerstage on August 16 with Moses Sumney and Sean Nicholas Savage.
