Blood Orange at Webster Hall in February (more by Amanda Hatfield)
Blood Orange

Blood Orange mastermind Dev Hynes has just announced a performance of his score from Gia Coppola's new film Palo Alto (based on the book by James Franco, who also stars in the film) in tandem with a screening of the film. The performance will take place in NYC at BRIC House on October 9. Tickets will be available to BRIC members starting Tuesday August 12 at noon, and to the general public the following Tuesday, August 19, at the same time. Hynes's label, Domino, has put up a new stream of one of the tracks from the Palo Alto score, called "Fred Drives," which you can check out below.

As discussed, Blood Orange also have a free show coming up at Central Park Summerstage on August 16 with Moses Sumney and Sean Nicholas Savage.

All Blood Orange dates, including FYF Fest, are listed with the new song stream and Palo Alto trailer, below...

Performing the live score for a film assures you're a post-city fruitcake.

Dev has been awfully quiet since he accused Lolla security of assaulting him and his gf. I wonder why?

When him & his halfwit talked to a lawyer, they realized a sideways glare wasn't assault. They're too embarrassed to clarify.

I love how the music press sucks up to this guy. His music is mediocre at best. Doesn't anyone have any taste anymore?

He sounds like Prince

Speaking of his halfwit... at the time of the "incident", she tweeted that her biggest concern was that they missed Eminem. Must've been traumatic for her..

Bite your tongue, 12:07. The only thing he has in common with Prince is that he's black and plays guitar. He is not fit to shine Prince's boots.

This guy is a fucking dweeb who's rebranded himself several times to try and fit in with the times. So embarrassing.

I'm surprised those crackheads didn't burn the place down and then blame security.
