DJ Spinn's set in honor of Rashad at P4K 2014 (more by James Richards IV)
DJ Spinn

DJ Rashad sadly passed away earlier this year, and though an initial autopsy proved inconclusive, and an inaccurate cause of death was reported soon after, it appears the actual cause of death has now been revealed. NBC Chicago reports (via Pitchfork) that it was a drug overdose. A statement from the medical examiner's office says heroin, cocaine, and alprazolam (Xanax) were found in his system.

A tribute to DJ Rashad will take place at this year's AfroPunk Festival.
