Ex Hex at MoMA Nights in July (more by Amanda Hatfield)
Ex Hex

Ex Hex, the current band of Mary Timony (Wild Flag, Helium, Autoclave), will release their much-anticipated debut LP Rips on October 7 via Merge. After revealing "Don't Wanna Lose" and "Hot and Cold," they're now back with a third LP cut, "Beast." Ex Hex has been shaping up to be the most glammy punk of Mary's projects and "Beast" is no exception. It's a real rock n roller that's definitely got a few hints of Johnny Thunders/New York Dolls in there. Check it out below.

As discussed, Ex Hex's tour with Speedy Ortiz hits NYC on November 1 at Glasslands with Aye Nako and November 2 at Mercury Lounge. Since we last spoke, Big Ups (who also open for Joanna Gruesome at the Seaport soon) were added to the Merc show. Tickets for Glasslands and Mercury Lounge are still available.
