Interpol in Chicago last month (more by James Richards IV)
Interpol

Interpol's new anagram-y album, El Pintor, is just a couple weeks off, out September 9 via Matador. A tour is booked for this fall but, as hinted on twitter, for those in NYC that want to see them earlier, they're playing a record release show at The Met's Temple of Dendur on September 2 (as OM and Liars have before). Doors open at 7 and the music starts at 8. Tickets for that show are on sale now and include complimentary wine, beer and snacks.

Otherwise, you can catch Interpol's two NYC stops on their tour with Hundred Waters at Terminal 5 on November 24 (sold out) and November 26 (tickets).

Updated dates are listed, with sterams of the new album's singles, "Ancient Ways" and "All The Rage Back Home," below...

Posted by Anonymous | August 20, 2014 11:26 AM

saw Liars last year - the space is amazing for a show - for that alone, i'd go

Posted by Anonymous | August 20, 2014 11:27 AM

they were terrible at ATP Iceland.....Yuck

Posted by Anonymous | August 20, 2014 11:39 AM

Are these will call only?

Posted by Anonymous | August 20, 2014 11:53 AM

nope. just printed mine.

Posted by Anonymous | August 20, 2014 12:14 PM

don't believe 11:27, temple of dendur is a terrible space for a show. just read reviews to see that.

Sold out

No way 2 hour set

This place sucks soooo bad for rock shows, it's not even funny!
Idiots paying for the exotics of the venue, just to find out they can't see anyting and the volume is pathetic, especially the bass, to not hurt the ancient relics there. Plus you'd be standing with your back to the very well roped temple, so no exotic view. This is not the mini pink floyd in pompei...

whatever, im going :P

Posted by Anonymous | August 20, 2014 1:17 PM

Ha Interpol never really plays over 80 on the best of days

Posted by Anonymous | August 20, 2014 1:22 PM

They could play behind a gas station and still be epic

Posted by Anonymous | August 20, 2014 1:29 PM

yea let's complain about an interpol concert at the fucking temple of dendur with free drinks for $45.

you guys are so cooooooool

Posted by Anonymous | August 20, 2014 3:27 PM

Pretty badass if you ask me. They could play the show out of some speakers they picked up at Duane Reade and it would be cool.

You ever buy drinks on the Met rooftop? I'll get my $45 back just knocking back some brews

Posted by Anonymous | August 20, 2014 4:02 PM

lines will be so long you will be able to get about 2-3 drinks my friend, be forewarned

Posted by Anonymous | August 20, 2014 6:20 PM

But they suck

Posted by Anonymous | August 20, 2014 10:20 PM

Utter dogshit, then and now. Matador has hit rock fucking bottom, I guess Queens Of The Stone Age are charity money now?

Anyone who'd pay one farthing to see these simps-- in 2014 even!-- deserves "everything" they get, including the Human Pumpalooma Virus.

Bet it's even "better" than the last U2 single + Neutral Milk Hotel crying about the Holocaust combined.

Posted by Anonymous | August 20, 2014 11:36 PM

Interpol's #MIKEBROWN tribute was pretty stirring though...

"Epic" even.

Must bring back memories of REO Speedwagen at the county fair for the new generation of NYC transplant retards.

Choogle on, asswipes!

Posted by Anonymous | August 20, 2014 11:38 PM

they are a pretty lifeless live act these days.

Posted by Anonymous | August 21, 2014 10:06 AM

I see a lot of late night posts from beta males shopping at Whole Foods

Posted by Anonymous | August 21, 2014 10:21 AM

Used to rent an apartment in the temple back in the days- the landlord was a prick.

Posted by Anonymous | August 21, 2014 10:29 AM

I would pay $45 to go to an open bar night at the temple of dendur, period. Most of Manhattan would. Interpol is a pleasant bonus.
