Interpol in Las Vegas last week (more by Adela Loconte)
Interpol

Interpol already announced a few album release shows including one at The Met and they've now added another in NYC happening at the intimate (for their standards) Bowery Ballroom on September 4. Tickets are already on presale (which may be sold out by now) and the general on-sale begins Thursday (8/28) at noon.

They'll go on a full tour with Hundred Waters (two Terminal 5 shows included) this fall. All dates and a new interview we did with Daniel Kessler, here.

Hope everyone who got tickets has fun at this show- it should be a good atmosphere.

Not worth it for 43 bucks, they're not nearly as eponymous as they were 5 years ago.

Posted by Anonymous | August 25, 2014 1:19 PM

Eponymous?

Hmm.

Posted by Anonymous | August 25, 2014 1:22 PM

1:19 has no idea what eponymous means.

1:28 missed the Interpol interview post on BV

1:28- it's a reference to a mistake in an Interpol article on BV last week. These guys are running the joke way into the ground, but it's still pretty funny

Great REM cd Eponymous

Posted by Anonymous | August 25, 2014 1:34 PM

It's an inside joke. And fuck them for making a Bowery Ballroom show after already announcing two other terminal 5 shows.

I was pleasantly surprised by them at Governor's Ball, they seemed reinvigorated and in a good place, hopefully that continues.

Bowery Ballroom is a tortoise show, the slow and steady always win the race to a small venue.

Brooklyn Vegan only posts stories about Interpol and Arcade Fire now. Finally.

It depends on the month, but this Interpol and Arcade Fire thing is persistent.

I wonder if they will play anything from their eponymous first album

3:23 is eponymous

Posted by Anonymous | August 25, 2014 3:25 PM

I like their 3rd eponymous debut album, "Unknown Pleasures Lite," the best.

Posted by Anonymous | August 25, 2014 4:22 PM

if ya want to remain anonymous,
don't release an album that's eponymous

Posted by Anonymous | August 25, 2014 4:53 PM

Anyone know who is opening at the bowery show?

Posted by Anonymous | August 26, 2014 8:45 AM

8:45, if I hear correctly from sources, Eponymous is opening for them.

Posted by Anonymous | August 26, 2014 9:09 AM

Will they play a bunch from their eponymous album?
