“Came to #bkbowl to check out Old 97s. But there was a power outage so now there’s an impromptu sidewalk performance. It’s perfect.” – Jane

“@rhettmiller Thanks, dude. I knew a little electrical fire couldn’t stop you. Rock on. #BrooklynBowl” – Lou Davanzo

Old 97’s were to have wrapped up the 2-night Brooklyn Bowl run on their ongoing tour last night (8/7), but unfortunately the show was cancelled after an electrical issue in the venue. Luckily for those in attendance, frontman Rhett Miller still found a way to put on a show. Rhett went outside the venue and played an acoustic set on the street. That’s a pic of him playing above, and you can check out a video below.

The Old 97’s tour does hit NYC one more time, a free daytime show on Saturday (8/9) as part of Lincoln Center Out of Doors. Hopefully no electrical issues at this one.

Rhett will also be back in NYC when his solo tour hits City Winery on September 20 with Curtis McMurtry. Tickets for that show are still available.
