Arcade Fire @ Fuji Rocks (more by Erina Uemura)
Arcade Fire

Arcade Fire are on a tour that recently hit Japan, and which will visit Brooklyn soon for three shows at Barclays Center (all with Dan Deacon and Unicorns, and one with Television!). On Wednesday (7/30) they played Mountain View, California, and it was at that show that a fan proposed to his future wife in the front row during "Neighborhood #1 (Tunnels)," much to Win's delight. Watch it all go down in the video below...

Nothing like a public spectacle to pressure the asked to say yes. Pearl Harbor jobs to get married should be illegal.

^ I see we got some miserable lonely BV readers today XOXO

hate if you want to, but it was a pretty great show.

I WILL hate all I want thank you very much.

There's being miserable and lonely, and there's realizing that people are fucking trendy idiots who call attention to their private lives at a terrible band's concert.

Let's be real.

You don't have to be the president of their fan club, but they're far from terrible.

That said, public proposals are stupid, but better this than a Yankee game.

Remember the commercial where the guy had a proposal message on the jumbotron, and he is telling his gf to look up, but when she does it's an ad for plastic surgery? funny commercial

fucking christ

Posted by Anonymous | August 4, 2014 4:21 PM

honest question. why did everyone on here go from "omfg arcade fire amazing omg omg omg i'd do anything to get tickets to their shows omg" to "haha this band is fucking terrible lolol" so quick?

Posted by Anonymous | August 4, 2014 4:44 PM

^the Internet = fickle. Look it up, pretty sure it's in the bible

Posted by Anonymous | August 4, 2014 4:48 PM

4:44 -- because people on here really like to pretend they're cooler than everyone else. Bands are only great for so long as you're the only person listening to them.

They got really popular (and have attracted a lot of douchy fans in the process that the readers of this blog don't want to be associated with). BV is all about what's at DBA and not what's at Barclays for a 3 night stand.

AF are better now than at any point in their career. I'm glad all of you so-called hip morons have given up on them. This way I don't have to see your boring asses at the concerts coming up.

444 It's called stupidity. It runs rampant with skinny, white bearded guys in Brooklyn.

Posted by Anonymous | August 5, 2014 3:42 AM

Arcade Fire was always lame. Not a new thing.

Posted by Anonymous | August 5, 2014 7:01 AM

5:40- Your post implies that most of the readers of this blog aren't douchey. Flawed reasoning.

Posted by Anonymous | August 5, 2014 12:02 PM

the Yankees marriage proposal announcer is the worst

Posted by Anonymous | August 5, 2014 2:11 PM

540 EVERY band has douchey fans especially indie bands!

Posted by Anonymous | August 6, 2014 4:05 AM

Did anyone see when they played SummerStage in 2005 with Bowie? That was one of the sickest shows I ever witnessed. I don't think they can ever be categorized as lame, especially when there are tons of crappy musicians out there.
