Television at Rough Trade in 2013 (more by Greg Cristman)

You can browse our full NYC show calendar for all of tonight's shows, but here are some highlights...

AfroPunk Fest @ Commodore Barry Park
The free annual two-day AfroPunk Festival finishes up today with a ton of great artists in various genres, from the soulful Meshell Ndegeocello to punk/ska/soul legends Fishbone to SZA and Cakes Da Killa and loads more. Free. After the fest, there's a screening of documentary Finding Fela at Knitting Factory ($12).

Arcade Fire, Dan Deacon, The Unicorns, Television @ Barclays Center
Arcade Fire wrap up their ambitious three-night run at Brooklyn's Barclays Center tonight with an added bonus: NYC legends Television are also on the bill that includes party animal Dan Deacon and the reunited Unicorns.

X (performing More Fun In The New World) @ City Winery
It's the final night of X's "first four albums in four nights" run at City Winery. While hearing devout punk rock albums Los Angeles and Wild Gift at a sit-down joint like this is a bit odd, the wider scope of X's fourth album (which is still pretty rockin') is definitely a better fit for the venue. In addition to More Fun in the New World, John, Exene and the band will also play a second set of songs from their catalogue. Sold out.

Cymbals Eat Guitars, Grooms, Acid, Paper Streets @ Asbury Lanes
Cymbals Eat Guitars make some serious rock music on their new album, LOSE, which expands upon their already-solid sound and includes some of their best songs yet. This is one of many release-week shows the band are doing.

DJ/Rupture, No Lands, Lorna Dune @ Baby's All Right
It's a night of experimental electronics that is also doubling as a release party of No Lands' ethereal debut album.

LA Font, Swimming, Radical Dads @ Baby's All Right
Los Angeles band LA Font make hooky guitar pop that's equal parts '70s powerpop and '90s indie rock. This is their first-ever NYC show and are well supported by Radical Dads and Swimming. It's a late show: doors at 10:30 PM.

The Everymen, The Brooklyn What, Butchers Blind @ Glasslands
New Jersey's The Everymen returned this April with Givin' Up On Free Jazz, back with another dose of boozy heartland swagger that comes off even better live. They're joined by fellow no-nonsense locals The Brooklyn What.

Sky Ferreira @ The Surf Lodge
For those who weekend in Montauk, perhaps you'd like to see "Everything is Embarrassing" singer Sky Ferreira for free today?

Right down front, (watch all of Television, get drunk during Unicorns, wait for AF to come on) stare 'em down, walk the fuck out.

9:20 - I'm sure their feelings will be mighty hurt but somehow they'll have to carry on.

i assume it will be unicorns, deacon then TV?

though deacon plays on the second stage, allowing AF time to set up and avoid a long lag (which is very considerate of them) hmmm...maybe unicorns...lag...television, deacon, AF?

Is Television on first?

Serious question...have there been non-pro scalpers outside Barclays trying to unload AF tickets at reasonable or under face value prices? I'm seriously considering taking my chances and trying to grab a lucky ticket on the spot.

Suge Knight apparently got shot at for eating Chris Browns hummus.

Nobody can support the system unless they have tried it. Music is like this.
