DFA1979 in LA in August (more by Debi Del Grande)

Death from Above 1979's long-awaited new album, The Physical World, is out next week (9/9) but the Canadian duo have offered up an early listen of the whole thing via iTunes. Next week, DFA1979 will be in NYC to play The Late Show with David Letterman on September 10 and while here will also play a special release show at Rough Trade on Monday, September 8. Tickets go on sale Friday (9/5) at noon. The band will then be back in NYC as part of their fall tour with Biblical, hitting Terminal 5 on November 28. Tickets for that show are still available and we're also giving away a pair.

If you're in Toronto this week, there will be a DFA1979 The Physical World: Pop Up Shop & Tattoo Parlour on September 3 & 4, ahead of this weekend's Riot Fest appearance. In addition to being able to pick the album -- and get some free ink -- the guys are promising surprise events. All tour dates are listed below.
