Say Anything at Best Buy Theater in June (more by Mimi Hong)
Say Anything

Well here's some pop punk nostalgia for your day. Saves the Day will be celebrating the 15th anniversary of their pop punk classic Through Being Cool by playing it in full on a tour with their pals Say Anything, who will be celebrating the tenth anniversary of ...Is A Real Boy on the same tour. And just to sweeten the deal, the Get Up Kids-related Reggie and the Full Effect will be coming along playing their album Under the Tray. The tour hits NJ on November 29 at Starland Ballroom and NYC on December 2 & 3 at Irving Plaza. Tickets for NJ and NYC go on sale September 10 at noon with various presales beginning September 9 at 10 AM. There's also an ongoing presale for the full tour here. All dates are listed below.

For the occasion, the co-headliners have also released covers of each other, with Say Anything taking on "You Vandal" and Saves the Day" doing "Belt." You can stream those, with the list of dates, below. Oh, and if you're going to any of the shows, just don't ask Max Bemis about his feelings on Nirvana's "Rape Me."

it's like i'm a freshman in high school all over again. what a time to be alive.

Sacher's wet dream.

This stuff was so corny when it came out, I can't even imagine how these albums must have aged.

Like a fine wine...

OK, can't we put a stop to "anniversary" shows--just because you are still alive 15 years later and Irving Plaza is willing to give you a gig on a Wednesday night should not qualify as an "anniversary" of anything.

I hope you post some more inane nonsense on the 1 year anniversary of your 9/4/14 3:05 PM post

Posted by Anonymous | September 4, 2014 3:55 PM

ANALversery...

Posted by Anonymous | September 4, 2014 3:57 PM

Why is 3:05pm "inane"?

More than ever bands are doing "anniversary" thing.

I think the bare minimum years for an anniversary is 25 years. When a band announces their 25th anniversary, I'm impressed.

When a pop rock band like Saves The Day announces the 15th (not 25th or even 20th) anniversary) of the RELEASE OF AN ALBUM, I'm not impressed. It smacks of self-importance and looking to make a few extra bucks from a reissue.

But you keep hugging STD's nuts.

Posted by Anonymous | September 4, 2014 9:20 PM

STD can do no wrong

Posted by Anonymous | September 4, 2014 11:01 PM

Lol, 920 is all "ohhh the inanity" like a blimp is exploding, I hope you post some more of that claptrap on 9/4/2039, that would be impressive

Posted by Anonymous | September 5, 2014 12:53 AM

12:53am is all bent out of shape people think celebrating the 15th anniversary of an album's release is a stupid thing.

I hope you print some more of your asshurtitude on 9/5/2039, that would be impressive.

Posted by Anonymous | September 5, 2014 9:03 AM

12:53am is a Saves The Day dick sucking punk.

Posted by Anonymous | September 5, 2014 9:04 AM

Too bad everyone who played on Through Being Cool, minus the singer, jumped ship years ago.

Posted by Anonymous | September 5, 2014 9:21 AM

hehe, I don't even like the band, but tell me more about my asshurtitude and d-s'ing, but you better wait until lunch bc coffee break ended 20 minutes ago >:0

You don't even like the band, and yet you're 1. posting in comments about them 2. semi/sorta/kinda defending their self-important BS (which is celebrating a fucking 15th not a 20th or 25th anniversary of an ALBUM RELEASE as if they were Rolling Stones, The Beatles etc.) 3. coming back for a second reply to me about a band you don't care about.

Posted by Anonymous | September 5, 2014 11:38 AM

Posted by Anonymous | September 9, 2014 9:56 AM

Posted by Anonymous | September 9, 2014 11:12 AM

Posted by Anonymous | September 9, 2014 12:31 PM

Posted by Anonymous | September 9, 2014 1:19 PM

^ You don't even like the band, and yet you're 1. posting in comments about them 2. really really really have your panties in a bunch about what bands wanna celebrate 3. coming back days later to continue to complain about a band you don't care about.

What a cool life, what a cool guy.

Posted by Anonymous | September 9, 2014 5:07 PM

154, if you think that 11:12 was me, the guy who called the original post inane, then you are mistaken haha, I stopped checking this one out after it fell too far off the front page, it just came up in the 'recent comments' thing, but I don't think 11:12 was even talking to you dude, maybe you should just go rock out, the radio is playing queen
