Foxygen celebrated the impending release of their new double album, …And Star Power, with two NYC shows this week, playing Music Hall of Williamsburg on Wednesday (10/8) and Thursday (10/9) at Webster Hall. Despite problems with overdoing it while touring the last album, Sam France and Jonathan Rado have not toned down this time out: Sam was striking poses, leaping in the air and falling all over the place the whole, and the crowds ate it up. Also adding to fun was a trio of backup singers/dancers. Though the new album clocks in at 24 tracks in 80 minutes, sets have not been quite as epic, usually around a dozen songs or so. Pictures from Webster Hall are in this post, and we’ll have MHOW pics soon as well. Meanwhile, Foxygen’s tour rolls on, hitting Philadelphia tonight (10/10).
