Arcade Fire's Will Butler announces debut solo album; other AF members talked punk roots with Damien Abraham

Will Butler

Perhaps you’ve noticed that Arcade Fire’s Will Butler (brother of the band’s lead singer Win Butler) has played as a solo artist a couple times recently. Well he’s now announced that he’ll put out his first solo album, Policy, on March 10 via AF’s longtime (but now former) label Merge.

In other Arcade Fire news, members Richard Reed Parry and Jeremy Gara recently talked about their punk roots on Fucked Up singer Damian Abraham’s Turned Out A Punk podcast. You can listen to that below.

Richard Reed Parry also has a new work with The National’s Bryce Dessner, Black Mountain Songs, making its world premiere at BAM tonight (11/20) (performed by the Brooklyn Youth Chorus) and happening again Friday and Saturday.
