Deerhoof have just released the video for their song “Exit Only” from their terrific new album, La Isla Bonita. The video, directed by Vice Cooler, stars #1 Deerhood Superfan Michael Shannon (aka Van Alden from Boardwalk Empire, and other cool, intense roles) and he plays a dual role, perhaps an internal struggle, a fight to the death. Deerhoof’s music is the weapon. Blood is spilled, teeth are lost, and references to either Quiet Riot or Kool Aid Man are made. Watch it below.

Having recently played four NYC record release shows, Deerhoof are now on tour and play Shannon’s old hometown, Chicago, tonight.
