Marnie the Dog & Tim Harrington helping celebrate 'National Metal Day' ++ Marnie & Marnie Stern "road stories" video

Marnie

Most folks in the U.S. are observing Veteran’s Day today. As is VH1 Classic — veteran metal bands, that is. It’s “National Metal Day” (11/11) on the basic cable station and helping celebrate is that icon of shredding, canine celebrity (and one-time BV show host) Marnie the Dog. She’s appearing in interstitial promos throughout the day. There are a bunch of them but only one has appeared online so far and you can check it out below. They’re all directed by Les Savy Fav’s Tim Harrington who did the music as well. The lyrics to the song, if you’re wondering:

Sniff cerebrus’ butt then mount that hound
Take a bone and stick it in the ground
We’re dogs of war you hear our growling sound
(Solo)
We’re ruff, ruff, ruff
we’re ruff and tumble puppies

Meanwhile, Marnie the Dog, who can now also put CNN in her bio, hung out with another Marnie who shreds, Marnie Stern, at a Village Voice event at The Creek and Cave where they told outrageous stories from the road. Video of the whole thing can be watched below…
