Last week we told you about the new Anwar Sadat EP, Obedience. After sharing the new song “Rotted Out”, we’re now pleased to premiere a stream of the full EP, which is out next week (12/2) via Sick Room Records.
Obedience marks a continued step forward for these noisy post-punks after their strong 2013 LP Gold. The elastic baselines, cacophonous drumming and screeching guitar lines are still on display as their musicianship continues to develop. All the riffs on Obedience stick in your head long after the first listen, and the ground these guys cover over a mere four tracks is pretty impressive.
As mentioned Anwar Sadat start their tour this weekend, and will hit NYC soon, playng Shea Stadium on 12/13 with Tropical Trash, Bad Behavior, and Chat Logs.
