As mentioned, UK psych band Hookworms will release their second album, The Hum, next week (11/11) via Weird World/Domino. In the same vein as their debut, the new album takes a variety of influences (Spacemen 3, 13th Floor Elevators, Neu!) and nitro-fuels them, with frontman MJ’s impassioned wails (and organ playing) leading the charge. You can stream the album in advance of its release via an interactive website designed by MJ, or over at NPR.
Still no word on US dates. Maybe they’ll come over to tour around SXSW?
