What's going on Monday? (Downtown Boys, Los Lobos, Glasslands Holiday Party, Wyatt Cenac, In School & more)

Downtown Boys @ DbA in November (more by Amanda Hatfield)
Downtown Boys

You can browse our full NYC show calendar for all of tonight’s shows, but here are some highlights…

Klaus, Sharif Mekawy Group, Jonathan Toubin (DJ), Cerulean @ Glasslands
There’s eight days left of Glasslands and tonight is their Holiday Party, featuring DJ Jonathan Toubin and a host of other fun stuff. It’s free and would be a good chance to see the art installations that are up for these last few shows, including Peelander Yellow’s backstage mural (tonight’s the only night non-performers are allowed there).

Night Train w/ Wyatt Cenac @ Littlefield
Wyatt Cenac’s weekly show tonight features appearances by Jen Kirkman, Jared Logan, and Subhah Agarwal.

Downtown Boys, Pinkwash @ Silent Barn
It’s The Media‘s 50th Issue party with a live performance by DC’s strident Downtown Boys and fellow Don Giovanni-signed Pinkwash, plus readings, a panel on DIY publishing and more.

In School, Pig DNA, Breakout, Howitzer, Raid @ Saint Vitus
NYC’s In School (ex-Household) is an all-female hardcore band with queer and people of color members, and they make sneering, pissed off punk that’s also catchy as hell.

Lez Zeppelin @ Highline Ballroom
The “all-girl, all-Zeppelin” tribute act tonight is performing “The Song Remains the Same” MSG concerts (July, 1973) and more.

Los Lobos @ City Winery
Legendary LA band Los Lobos, whose new album Si Se Puede: Los Lobo And Friends made NPR’s Best of 2014 list, are back in town for another City Winery show. Tonight features two sets — one “disconnected” and one “plugged-in.

For laughs, check out the NYC Comedy calendar too.
