A review of Etienne de Crécy‘s 1996 Super Discount EP spawned the term “French Touch” which would soon be applied to Daft Punk, Air, Cassius and other electronic acts of the late ’90s. Crécy has a new album, Super Discount 3, that’s out next week (1/20) via Ultra Music. It features contributions from Madeline Follin (Cults), De La Soul‘s Pos & Dave, Baxter Dury, Kilo Kish, and fellow Frenchman Alex Gopher. You can stream the whole album ahead of its release via iTunes and you can watch a Pitchfork TV documentary on Crécy’s Super Discount series below.

Crécy will be in the U.S. next month for a few Super Discount DJ gigs, including NYC at Verboten on February 12 with All Dom Wrong. Tickets are on sale now.
