Belle

Belle and Sebastian‘s new album, Girls in Peacetime Want to Dance, is out next week (1/20) and is now streaming in full at various sites worldwide. This is the Scottish band’s most polished album to date, you might even call it slick at times, but when Stuart Murdoch and company get groovy — like on single “Party Line” and the Pet Shop Boys-esque “Enter Sylvia Plath” — it’s a lot of fun. Folks in America can give it a spin at NPR (who are streaming the new Sleater-Kinney as well).

Catch Belle and Sebastian live in NYC when their tour hits Radio City Music Hall on June 10 (tickets).
