The Sidekicks streaming new album; BV-presented release show w/ Cayetana, All Dogs & Roger Harvey is soon

Ohio rockers The Sidekicks are a week away from releasing their fourth album and first for Epitaph, Runners in the Nerved World, and now premiered a full stream of the album over at Stereogum. Though they’ve always been on the fringes of punk, rather than a straight up punk band, that word’s probably not going to get thrown around when describing this new album. They went with producer Phil Ek, which is a great choice since hints of The Shins and Band of Horses are all over this record. Take a listen for yourself below.
As discussed, The Sidekicks will kick off a tour with a BrooklynVegan-presented release show in NYC on January 23 at Baby’s All Right with Cayetana, All Dogs (whose singer Maryn Jones plays in Saintseneca with Steve from The Sidekicks) and Roger Harvey. Tickets for that show are still available.
