Owen Pallett

You can browse our full NYC show calendar for all of tonight’s shows, but here are some highlights…

Owen Pallett, Foxes In Fiction @ Music Hall of Williamsburg
Owen Pallett’s brand of art pop brings lush string arrangements, electronics and deeply personal lyrics into a mix like few others. Opener Foxes In Fiction is a pretty good match, too.

Savages @ Baby’s All Right
Rescheduled from Monday’s blizzard-that-wasn’t, Savages are now playing the late show with doors at midnight. Which could definitely make things a different vibe. This is now the second-to-last of their nine NYC shows.

Viet Cong, What Moon Things @ Mercury Lounge
With a widely acclaimed debut album just out, Canadian band Viet Cong hit NYC for two shows, tonight being the second. Sold out.

Ramleh, JFK, Alberich, Theologian, York Factory Complaint @ Saint Vitus
British power electronics and noise rock pioneers Ramleh, who are currently Anthony di Franco, Gary Mundy, and Martyn Watts, are in NYC for two rare shows this week.

Porcelain Raft, Noveller, Ponyhof @ Cameo Gallery
Porcelain Raft headlines this show, but for Noveller it’s the release party for her new album Fantastic Planet, which pairs her mesmerizing guitar playing with some pulsating electronics.

Drenge, EULA, Bueno @ Shea Stadium
This bill is on the slightly heavier side, with grungy UK band Drenge, local noise rockers EULA, and Staten Island rockers Bueno.

Marilyn Manson, Unlocking The Truth @ Terminal 5
Veteran shock rocker Marilyn Manson has been getting some of the best reviews of his career for his new album, The Pale Emperor. The very young band Unlocking the Truth open tonight. This is the makeup date from Monday’s show postponement.

Honduras, Shark Week, Haybaby, Die Malone @ Bowery Electric
Sixties revivalists Honduras headline this lineup of superior local guitar pop bands. Opening tonight is Die Malone which is Radio 4’s David Milone with backing by Boy Wonder.

New England Patriots, Caethua, Great Valley’s Grape Room, The Lentils, CE Schneider Topical @ Silent Barn
New England Patriots make noisy, freaky garage punk with a highly entertaining frontman whose high shaky voice is as memorable as his stage moves.

Mike Doughty @ WNYC Greene Space
Onetime Soul Coughing frontman Mike Doughty has written a rock opera based on The Bible’s ‘Book of Revelation’ and he’ll be performing those songs tonight with a full band and backup singers. This is a makeup show for Tuesday (which was canceled due to the storm).

Wolf Alice, Charly Bliss @ Baby’s All Right
Buzzy UK band Wolf Alice sound like ’90s alt-rock on one song and like The xx on the next. Tonight they play their first of two NYC shows this week.

For all of tonight’s shows, and tomorrow’s, check out our NYC concert calendar.

For laughs, check out the NYC Comedy calendar too.
