You can browse our full NYC show calendar for all of tonight’s shows, but here are some highlights…

This Will Destroy You, Sannhet, Planning For Burial @ Saint Vitus
Epic post-rockers This Will Destroy You conclude their BrooklynVegan-presented two-night stand at Saint Vitus tonight. Different openers both tonights, tonight being fellow post-rockers Sannhet and the gloomy Planning for Burial.

Sleater-Kinney, Lizzo @ Terminal 5
Sleater-Kinney aren’t on some nostalgia reunion — they’re picking up right where they left off with a killer new record and this is tour is as much about that as it is about old favorites. Tonight’s the second of two sold-out shows at T5 shows.

Radical Dads, Dead Stars, Doe, Life Size Maps, Left & Right @ Shea Stadium
Couldn’t get tickets to Sleater-Kinney? Radical Dads (who probably went to T5 last night) are Brooklyn’s leading torch-bearers of classic ’90s-style indie rock. They celebrate their terrific new album, Universal Coolers, tonight with a great bunch of openers, including UK band Doe.

Museum of Love, Oneida, Blondes @ Bowery Ballroom
For those used to Pat Mahoney behind the drum kit (LCD Soundsystem, Hot Chip), seeing him behind a mic might be a bit of a shock. With Museum of Love, he’s a confident frontman with a nice, soulful voice — which may also be a shock. Tonight’s show has great openers in Oneida and Blondes as well.

Child Abuse, Pyrrhon, Nebadon, Mick Barr @ Cake Shop
It’s a heavy night at Cake Shop with death metal noise terrorists Child Abuse, Pyrrhon (featuring onetime BV writer Doug Moore) and the great Mick Barr.

Couch Slut, Columboid, Opening Bell, Ghastly City Sleep @ Coco 66
Couch Slut’s killer debut, My Life As A Woman, is an unrelenting mix of metal, hardcore, noise rock, and it even gets kinda pretty once or twice.

Belle Mare, PROM, Ponyhof @ Knitting Factory
Once a duo Brooklyn’s Belle Mare have expanded to full band and a fuller sound that owes a little to Radiohead and Sigur Ros.

The Dodos, Springtime Carnivore @ Music Hall of Williamsburg
It doesn’t seem like The Dodos can be on Album #6, but new one Individ, is just that and features more of their catchy, percussive indie-folk. Sold out.

Luke Temple, Star Rover, Girls and God, Booker Stardrum @ Pioneer Works
This show is presented by Found Sound Nation and happens at one of the cooler spots in Brooklyn, Pioneer Works in Red Hook. Here We Go Magic’s very talented Luke Temple headlines.

2:54, Honeyblood, Okay Kaya @ Rough Trade
It’s a double bill of UK duos, with the gothy post-punk of 2:54 and the almost Best Coast-y pop of Scotland’s Honeyblood.

Advance Base, Hello Shark, Real Life Buildings, Adult Mom @ Silent Barn
Chicago lo-fi pop outfit Advance Base is the current project of Owen Ashworth, formerly of Casiotone for the Painfully Alone.

Dr. John @ Town Hall
The Night Tripper interprets the music of Louis Armstrong tonight, as heard on last year’s The Spirit of Satch.

Shara Worden, American Composers Orchestra @ Carnegie Hall
This could be a special night, as Shara Worden reinterprets her My Brightest Diamond songs with the American Composers Orchestra.

Steven Reker @ Lincoln Center
People Get Ready frontman Steven Reker plays tonight’s installment of Lincoln Center’s “American Songwriters Series” which happens in the gorgeous Appel Room overlooking Columbus Circle. You can get discounted tickets by using code REKER30.

Les Sans Culottes, The Zambonis @ Rock Shop
Together for nearly 25 years, The Zambonis remain America’s best hockey-themed indie rock band. Wish The Replacements sang about slap shots and hat tricks? This show is for you. Also on the bill fake French band Les Sans Culottes.

Johanna Samuels, Shilpa Ray, Lips, Female @ Union Pool
Shilpa Ray is planning a new album for Northern Spy this year, and we’ll likely get a chance to hear some of that tonight.

Xylouris White, J.R. Bohannon @ HiFi
Xylouris White is the duo of Dirty Three’s Jim White and Cretan folk musician George Xylouris. Their debut album, Goats, mixes Xylouris’ traditional lute style and White’s avant leanings, making for a very interesting listen that is all the more captivating live. Having just played shows with Swans, they play this very intimate show tonight.

Have Mercy, Banquets, Republic of Wolves, Soda Bomb, Heeney @ Brooklyn Night Bazaar
Pretty good lineup all-around of punkish bands. One highlight is Soda Bomb, whose fuzzy lo-fi style should appeal to fans of Wavves.

Obey City @ Baby’s All Right
It’s the free release party for Brooklyn electronic producer Obey City’s new Merlot Sounds EP.

Warehouse, Breathers, True Blue @ Alphaville
Atlanta indie rockers Warehouse are about to re-release their debut LP on Bayonet (Dustin from Beach Fossils’ new label) and tonight they play their first of two NYC shows on their current tour with Breathers. It’s at new Bushwick venue Alphaville (140 Wilson).
