Failure announce first album since 1996, share new track

The recently reformed ’90s spacey alt-rockers Failure came back early last year for a round of live sets, later announcing that they had already begun work on a new album months prior to revealing the reunion. The Heart Is A Monster is the band’s first full-length since 1996’s Fantastic Planet and has now been set to come out June 30. No word on whether or not last summer’s track “The Focus” is among the new album’s 18-song tracklist.

According to the press release, the band’s recent SXSW appearance was their first since completing the recording of the new LP and they debuted “Hot Traveler,” the first track from The Heart Is A Monster, there.
