You can browse our full NYC show calendar for all of tonight’s shows, but here are some highlights…

Ben Folds, yMusic @ Bowery Ballroom
Ben Folds’ collaborative new album with classical sextet yMusic still doesn’t have a title or release date, but you can hear it tonight, live, when Ben and yMusic play their first of three sold-out NYC shows.

Kimya Dawson, Paul Baribeau, Toby Goodshank, Hamell on Trial, Roger Manning @ Trans-Pecos
Tonight’s pretty much the place to be if you’re an anti-folk fan. Moldy Peaches members Kimya Dawnson and Toby Goodshank both play solo, plus folk-punk staple Paul Baribeau is on the bill, as are two veterans of the genre, Roger Manning and Hamell on Trial.

Lucius, Field Mouse @ Music Hall of Williamsburg
Brooklyn’s Lucius are co-fronted by Holly Laessig and Jess Wolfe, who have lent their harmonies to Wilco, The Rentals, and San Fermin. Tonight’s show with alt-pop band Field Mouse is free, but you had to RSVP and that’s now closed.

Night Train w/ Wyatt Cenac @ Littlefield
Will Miles, Clark Jones & Kenny DeForest fill in Wyatt Cenac and Night Train guest hosts, and welcome Dan Boulger, Amber Nelson, Nate Fernald, Sam Johnson, and Andrew Michaan.

The Hum @ Manhattan Inn
This is the final installment of free Mondays in April series “The Hum” which is touted as a “platform for unique first time collaborations between musicians working in various genres such as R&B, indie, beat-boxing, classical, punk and more with live projected video art.” Tonight’s performers include Xenia Rubinos, Jen Goma (A Sunny Day in Glasgow), Cassandra Jenkins and Caroline Davis and more.

Doug Loves Movies @ Gramercy Theatre
Doug loves weed, and he also digs cinema. He’ll be indlulging the latter — taping his Doug Loves Movies podcast — with surprise guests tonight. Sold out.

For laughs, check out the NYC Comedy calendar too.
