Saun & Starr releasing 'Look Closer' on Daptone (watch the video featuring Sharon Jones), playing Harlem this weekend

Some of you may recognize Saundra Williams and Starr Duncan Lowe from their days singing backup for Sharon Jones. Saun & Starr have now made their own album, titled Look Closer, which is out May 19 via Daptone (of course). We’ve got the premiere of the video for Look Closer‘s title track which is a funny look at Daptone’s talent search. Made by directors Rob Hatch-Miller and Puloma Basuwhich at Daptone’s House of Soul HQ in Bushwick, the video also features a cameo from Sharon Jones. Saun & Starr, who played Rough Trade on Record Store Day, will be playing on Friday and Saturday (5/8 & 5/9) at Ginny’s Supper Club in Harlem. There are 7:30 and 9:30 PM shows both nights and tickets are on sale now. Flyer for the shows, below…
