DIIV played the first day of the 2015 Governors Ball and while there for it, frontman Cole Smith talked briefly with Billboard about their forthcoming second album, Is the Is Are, which he calls “really personal.” You can watch that video below.

In other news, DIIV will “reenact your dreams” as part of an immersive NYC theater project called Houseworld. To have this happen you’ll need to donate $10,000 towards Houseworld’s Kickstarter. There are three DIIV dream spots available which will be part of this fall’s performances of Houseworld. What is Houseworld? Creator Andrew Hoepfner described it to MTV like this:

In Houseworld, you walk into a giant mansion by yourself and step into a dreamworld. You start walking through these rooms and meeting the strange people that live in them. Often these interactions are one on one. You have conversations with the characters. You play games against them. You try to solve the puzzles of the house. Sometimes the characters yell at you or sing to you. You give objects to them, and do things that influence the behavior of these characters and can drastically change the outcome of the performance. For two-and-a-half hours, the audience is seeing, smelling, tasting, hearing, and touching an alternate reality. Houseworld is kind of like going inside of that old adventure game Maniac Mansion.

Making its debut with four sold-out shows earlier this year, Houseworld is looking to do 33 more performances starting in September. You can watch a trailer for Houseworld below.
