Drake headlined night 1 of Governors Ball (setlist); Ryan Adams, Bjork, Sharon Van Etten & more today

“On June 5, day one of the three-day gathering — the east coast’s answer to Coachella — many wondered whether [Drake] would shine during his headlining set, memories of his lukewarm California performances still fresh in peoples’ minds. Fortunately for fans who trekked out to New York’s Randall’s Island, Drake has something to prove. And did he ever.
Drake took the stage with “Legend,” the opening to his latest mixtape, If You’re Reading This It’s Too Late, launching into a 90-minute set that blazed through much of his catalog, including the tracks “Over,” “Started From the Bottom,” “Worst Behavior” and “0 to 100 / The Catch Up”).” [Billboard]

Earlier in the day, another hip hop set didn’t go as well and Rae Sremmurd’s Slim Jimmy left the fest in an ambulance.
Governors Ball continues today (Saturday) with sets from Bjork, Little Dragon, Ryan Adams, Future Islands, Kate Tempest, White Lung, Kiesza, Sharon Van Etten, a new stage show by Deadmau5 and more.
