Manchester quartet PINS released their second album, Wild Nights, this week via Bella Union and it’s a marked step up from their debut. If there’s a little less sneer and snarl this time, it’s in exchange for better songs and smoky, brooding atmosphere. You can stream the whole thing via Rdio, and check out the video for “Young Girls,” below.

PINS will be in the US later this week, as their tour kicks off here in NYC on Saturday (6/13) at Rough Trade with Toronto’s Doomsquad. That’s part of the Northside Festival and you can use a Northside badge to get in, or buy tickets. The band will be back near the end of their tour, playing Mercury Lounge on July 1. That show is with Beverly and tickets go on AmEx presale today at noon with the general on-sale starting Friday (6/12) at noon.

Beverly, meanwhile, play Northside on Thursday (6/11) at Alphaville, as part of the Kanine Records showcase with Spook School, Wildhoney and more. Updated dates are listed below.
