You can browse our full NYC show calendar for all of tonight’s shows, but here are some highlights…

Bad Religion, Plague Vendor @ Music Hall of Williamsburg
Punk veterans Bad Religion begin a four-night stand in NYC tonight. Tonight’s show has them playing only 20th century material, and tomorrow’s show at the same venue will be all 21st century. Then they do the same thing across two nights at Bowery Ballroom on Thursday and Friday. The much newer but also great Epitaph punk band Plague Vendor opens all shows.

Son Lux, Olga Bell @ Bowery Ballroom
Sufjan Stevens collaborator Ryan Lott recently expanded his Son Lux project to a trio with jazz guitarist Rafiq Bhatia and drummer Ian Chang. They’ve got a new album coming out this month, and tonight they team up with Dirty Projectors member Olga Bell in NYC.

The Maccabees, Luke Rathborne @ (le) poisson rouge
After the atmospheric Given To The Wild, it sounds like The Maccabees are getting back to their more rocking roots on recent singles. Tonight they headline LPR, a much smaller NYC venue than the ones they played last week opening for Mumford & Sons.

GoldLink, Chaz French @ Rough Trade
Fresh off being named an XXL Freshmen, Virginia rapper GoldLink kicks off a 2-night stand in NYC tonight.

Verses Narrow, Go Deep, Cavallo, NY in 64 @ Saint Vitus
Saint Vitus hosts a pretty good night of punk tonight with Verses Narrow (now featuring former BoySetsFire drummer), Go Deep (recently signed to 6131), and more.

Ava Luna, Guerilla Toss, Joey Pizza Slice, CE Schneider Topical @ Aviv
Ava Luna’s sound — part indie rock, part R&B, part cerebral thesis — doesn’t seem like it would work on paper but actually sounds pretty natural. Their brand new album, Infinite House, is the best thing they’ve done yet. Having just wrapped up a tour, this is a homecoming show for them.

Doug Loves Movies @ Irving Plaza
Doug loves weed, and he also digs cinema. He’ll be indulging the latter — taping his Doug Loves Movies podcast — and probably the other, with surprise guests tonight.

Algiers, The Flag @ Mercury Lounge
Algiers just released their self-titled debut album via Matador which showcases their gothy, gospel-inflected, politically minded sound.

Dave Hill, Michelle Wolf, Daniel Koren, Greg Barris, more @ The Bell House
Occasionally shirtless BV contributor Dave Hill celebrates the release of his new comedy album, Let Me Turn You, tonight with guests Michelle Wolf, Daniel Koren, Greg Barris, Seaton Smith and more.

The Vaccines, Drowners @ Warsaw
Having just played Seaside, NJ as part of Mumford & Sons’ Gentlemen of the Road traveling festival, Britpoppers the Vaccines play Brooklyn tonight with likeminded local band Drowners (who have at least one UK expat in the band).

The Black Keys @ iHeartRadio Theater
Like most shows at iHeartRadio Theatre, this offers a chance to catch performers in a space much smaller than they normally play, but tickets are given out through contests. This is definitely an intimate spot for Black Keys who just played last weekend’s Governors Ball.
