stream Ultimate Painting's new album 'Green Lanes'

Ultimate Painting Green Lanes album

We’ve had a heatwave in NYC all week with temperatures in ’90s. If you’re looking to cool off, Ultimate Painting‘s terrific second album, Green Lanes, is chill in all the right ways. James Haore’s ’60s pop sensibilities and Jack Cooper’s love of the Grateful Dead play well off each other, keeping things mellow but never boring. It’s a “Magic Hour” kind of record you can leave on repeat and not notice (or mind). The album’s out next week (8/7) on Trouble in Mind but you can stream the whole thing (via Noisey) below.

Ultimate Painting are even better live, and their North American tour brings them to NYC on September 18 at Rough Trade. Tickets for that show are still available.
