Flesh World played Music Hall of Williamsburg (pics); Limp Wrist add late show at Silent Barn

Flesh World @ MHOW 8/1/2015
San Francisco’s Flesh World just played three NYC shows: Baby’s All Right on Thursday (7/30) with Radioactivity and Honey Radar, then they opened for Total Control at Music Hall of Williamsburg on Saturday (8/1) with Lust for Youth and Sannhet, and then played later that night (much later) at Acheron. Jess Scott still writes the same style of songs, musically at least, as she did in the underrated Brilliant Colors but Limp Wrist’s Scott Moore’s snaking, snarling guitar leads definitely push things into the punkier side of post-punk. It was a short but terrific set from them at MHOW. Pictures from their set are in this post.
We mentioned that Limp Wrist would be playing Silent Barn on August 6 after the Flesh World tour ends. Since we last spoke, that show sold out, but they added a late one. After the 7 PM show with Didi, In School, Frau and Honeysuck, they’ll play an 11 PM show with Crazy Spirit and Frau (tickets).
