Dead Stars share "Get Thru" from new single, playing shows

Brooklyn trio Dead Stars just released a new 7″ titled “Calm Punk,” another fine, hooky example of their ’90s indie rock worship/mastery, very much in the loud/quiet/loud mode. The b-side, “Get Thru” is more of slow-build anthemic ballad that still allows for requisite pedal-stomping. That song makes its premiere in this post and you can check it out below.

Dead Stars have a couple local shows coming up: tonight (10/2) at Shea Stadium with Kissing Is A Crime, Other Colors, and Wild Pink; and then for CMJ they’ll play October 16 at The Gutter with Sharkmuffin, The Battery Electric, No Ice, Dinowalrus, Dentist and Black Flamingo.
