The Frights releasing an album produced by Zac of FIDLAR, 'You Are Going To Hate This' (stream the title track)

San Diego party punks The Frights just played The Growlers’ Beach Goth festival this past weekend and their upcoming debut album was produced by FIDLAR‘s Zac Carper, so you may already have an idea of what to expect from this band. The album’s called You Are Going To Hate This, and we’ve got the premiere of the title track. It’s a super catchy blend of Weezer, SoCal pop punk, and Burger-y garage rock. Check it out below.

The album comes out February 12 on Dangerbird Records (also home to releases by Minus the Bear, Maritime, Hot Hot Heat and more), and pre-orders begin this Friday (10/30). Their only date at the moment is LA on 11/18 with frnkiero andthe cellabration (who also open Taking Back Sunday’s just-announced second holiday show in NJ).
