You can browse our full NYC show calendar for all of tonight’s shows, but here are some highlights…

Destroyer, Jennifer Castle @ Webster Hall
On the heels of his great new album Poison Season, mercurial performer Dan Bejar brings his Destroyer persona to Webster Hall tonight, with an opening set from 2015 Polaris Prize nominee Jennifer Castle.

Modern Sky Festival w/ Yoko Ono Plastic Ono Band, Gang of Four, Mark Sultan (of King Khan and BBQ), New Pants, Lower, Hedgehog, Song Dongye, Miserable Faith @ Central Park Summer Stage
A host of rock bands from Bejiing are over for this NYC branch of the Chinese festival. A few Western bands play too — Lower, Gango of Four — and it’s headlined by Yoko Ono and an all-star Plastic Ono Band made of of indie rock vets (who can’t be announced but we hear is pretty stacked).

Pure Bathing Culture, Wild Ones @ Baby’s All Right
Pure Bathing Culture’s new album will be out later this month and going by the singles we’ve heard from it, it’s shaping up to be a little funkier than their dream pop debut. Fellow Portland pop band Wild Ones open.

NY Deathfest – Soils of Fate, Holocausto Canibal, Morpheus Descends, Dehumanized, Desecrate The Faith, Blast Perversion, FANTASY PANTHER, Grunt, Bleach Eater, Ground, Animals Killing People, Triple Cripple
@ Saint Vitus

It’s the second and final day of the third annual NY Deathfest, with loads of gnarly bands that are perfect for a gloomy October weekend.

All Torn Up, World War IX, Skum City, Exit 17, Knuckleheads, All Ages P @ The Grand Victory
NYC punks All Torn Up are about to go on a tour with the Bouncing Souls, Leftover Crack and Beach Slang, which comes near NYC but doesn’t hit the city proper. Ahead of that tour, All Torn Up play their hometown tonight.

Terry Riley Festival @ National Sawdust
In celebration of iconic modern composer Terry Riley’s 80th birthday, National Sawdust (only its third day open) is throwing this three day festival where he’ll collaborate with a variety of other musicians.

Laurie Anderson @ Park Avenue Armory
Laurie Anderson’s “Habeas Corpus” installation uses “film, sculpture, music, and video to examine the story of Mohammed el Gharani, one of the youngest detainees at Guantanamo Bay.” Open to the public during the day, it concludes at night with a celebratory concert and dance party with Syrian singer Omar Souleyman, Merrill Garbus of tUnE-yArDs, multi-instrumentalist Shahzad Ismaily, guitarist Stewart Hurwood, and Anderson herself.

BrooklynVegan senior editor Bill Pearis is hosting The OC trivia at Videology tonight at 7 PM. Expect at least one question about Death Cab.
