In the wake of the horrific terrorist attacks in Paris on Friday, Brooklyn Borough President Eric Adams is proposing emergency drills for large venues, event halls, malls and other large gathering places. He told The NY Daily News, “After Paris, we have to refine what a fire drill is. In today’s world, a fire drill is not just about flames. It’s about people firing guns.” The BP’s Communications Director, Stefan Ringel, told Gothamist, “The meeting should be taking place in the next week or two, and we will be reaching out to venues of different sizes.”
