You can browse our full NYC show calendar for all of tonight’s shows, but here are some highlights…

NY Comedy Festival
The NYCF wraps up tonight with, among other events, a closing party at Brooklyn Bowl with Craig Robinson’s band, The Nasty Delicious. Given the amount of talent in town this week, you never know who might show up.

Fuzz (w/ Ty Segall), The Men, Walter @ Bowery Ballroom
Ty Segall doesn’t ever seem to stop. When he’s not making his own albums, he’s got myriad side projects…like Fuzz, his proto metal band where Ty gets to show off his skills behind the drum kit. Sold out.

GWAR, Battlecross, SYKA @ Webster Hall
GWAR are sadly without frontman Oderus Urungus, who passed away last year, but their shows are still shocking, gruesome and hilarious. Tonight should be a sweaty, fake-blood-covered awesome time.

The Saddest Landscape, Vattnet Viskar @ The Studio at Webster Hall
The Saddest Landscape have been offering up heavy, atmospheric screamo for about a decade now, and their new album Darkness Forgives (out now on Topshelf) shows they still have plenty of great songs left in them. Boundary-pushing black metal band Vattnet Viskar makes this a great double bill.

Norman Westberg, Algis Kizys, Lynn Wright @ Union Pool
Swams guitarist Norman Westberg has a new solo album and he’s supporting it with two release shows, this being the second.

Odesza, Hayden James, Louis Futon @ Terminal 5
Seattle dance duo Odesza seriously blew up. It was just over a year ago you could see them at places like Santos Party House and Knitting Factory, and tonight they’re on night 3 of a 3-night run at the huge Terminal 5 and the whole thing is sold out.

Bunny Michael, FIN, Bile Sister @ Silent Barn
Bile Sister just played NYC twice yesterday as members of ’80s-era no wave band Chandra. Tonight they have their own show without Chandra, opening for “nature slut” Bunny Michael.

Keith Fullerton Whitman, David Grubbs, Eli Keszler, Okkyung Lee, Nate Wooley, C. Spencer Yeh @ MoMA PS1
This is one of MoMA PS1’s Sunday Sessions shows (it goes from 1:30 to 6 PM) and it features the musicians playing various improvisational sets in solo, duo and trio formats.

Godmaker, Die Choking, Carved Up, Spotlights @ Saint Vitus
Philly grinders Die Choking and Philly riff-meisters Carved Up have been on tour together and tonight they land in NYC. For those who like it heavy, this show is the place to be tonight.

Loretta Lynn @ Tarrytown Music Hall
Country legend Loretta Lynn hasn’t released an album since the Jack White-produced LP she put out in 2004, but this coming March that will change. (The new one features collaborations with Willie Nelson and Elvis Costello.) Maybe we’ll hear some new stuff tonight? Either way, we can surely count on plenty of classics.
