What's going on Sunday? (They Might Be Giants, Negative Approach, Nona Hendryx & more)

John & John: They Might Be Giants
They Might Be Giants

You can browse our full NYC show calendar for all of tonight’s shows, but here are some highlights…

They Might Be Giants @ Music Hall of Williamsburg
They’re a full band now but They Might Be Giants used to just be two Johns and a drum machine. They return to their roots tonight, part of their monthly residency at MHOW.

Negative Approach, Child Bite, Night Birds, Outskirtz @ The Acheron
Hardcore vets Negative Approach only released one album, 1983’s Tied Down, but its influence can still be heard today and it’s great that we still have them around today. Art punks Child Bite and locals Night Birds (who pull from the era NA started in) are both worth catching too.

Nona Hendryx presents Parallel Lives @ Joe’s Pub (2 shows)
Soul & R&B icon Nona Hendryx will pay tribute to Billie Holiday and Edith Piaf with a show called “Parallel Lives” which happens at Joe’s Pub on November 29 with two shows (7 PM & 9:30 PM). It features the vocal talents of Joey Arias, Women of the World, Liza Jesse Peterson, Etienne Stadwjck and Hyndryx herself.

Scott Weiland, Biters, Shock Radar @ The Paramount
Former Stone Temple Pilots frontman Scott Weiland just played NYC and Montclair, and now he’s got one last show in the area. It was initially set to be with The Icarus Line, who don’t appear to be billed anymore.

For all of tonight’s shows, and tomorrow’s, check out our NYC concert calendar.

For laughs, check out the NYC Comedy calendar too.
