Rostam releases solo song; PWR BTTM opening for Ra Ra Riot

Rostam Batmanglij of Vampire Weekend has released a solo single, “EOS”, along with its video. It’s a beautiful track about loss, accompanied by a choir that completes it. The video was directed by Rostam and features animation by Jon Race, which is inspired by a 25-second exposure photo taken of desert dunes in India. “EOS” is out now via XL digitally and will be on a 7″ in February. Watch the video below.
In related news, Ra Ra Riot (who have worked with Rostam more than once, including on their recent single) announced the openers for their tour. PWR BTTM are opening all dates, and additional support comes from Sun Club on their first leg and And The Kids on the second. As mentioned, the first leg of the tour hits NYC on March 4 at Webster Hall. Tickets for that show are still available.
