You can browse our full NYC show calendar for all of tonight’s shows, but here are some highlights…

Jenny Lewis, & The Watson Twins, M. Ward @ Beacon Theatre
Ten years ago, Jenny Lewis teamed up with the Watson Twins to release Rabbit Fur Coat. That album still lives up today, and Jenny and the Watsons are celebrating by performing it at Beacon Theatre tonight and tomorrow. M Ward, who guests on the album, opens both shows.

Greg Dulli, Joseph Arthur @ Bowery Ballroom
The Afghan Whigs frontman kicks off his solo tour tonight, where he’ll lead a stripped-down band through a selection of his own songs (from throughout his career) and covers. The talented Joseph Arthur opens. Tickets are still available.

Craig Finn @ The Appel Room
As part of the American Songbook series at Lincoln Center, Hold Steady frontman Craig Finn plays a solo show tonight. His latest release is last year’s Faith In The Future, which saw him getting his mid-’80s Springsteen on.

Shuggie Otis @ City Winery
70s cult soul icon Shuggie Otis resurfaced a few years ago and we’re glad to have him back playing classics like “Strawberry Letter 23” and “Aht Uh Mi Hed.”

Wilco, Steve Gunn @ Capitol Theatre
Wilco have been making good to great records for over two decades now, the latest being last year’s Star Wars. Their current tour hits NYC-area venue Capitol Theater twice this week. This is night 2, and experimental guitarist/Kurt Vile collaborator Steve Gunn opens.

William Tyler, Ryan Sawyer @ Union Pool
In addition to playing with Lambchop, Silver Jews and more, guitarist William Tyler cuts impressive American Primitivism records on his own. He just opened for Wilco last night, and tonight plays a headlining show.

Talib Kweli with live band @ Blue Note (two shows)
NYC rap staple Talib Kweli is possibly busier than ever this winter, with a total of nine shows in about two months. Tonight he and a live band knock out two more, and they’ll do it again at the Blue Note tomorrow too.

Arrested Development @ B.B. King’s
Arrested Development’s 1992 debut 3 Years, 5 Months & 2 Days in the Life Of… was a genre-defying smash that spawned three hit singles. Apart from a late-’90s hiatus, they’ve remained active since.

Styles P, Kid Capri (DJ) @ SOB’s
The LOX have been back in action as of late, but that hasn’t stopped Styles P from being a prolific solo artist. He hasn’t gone a year without an album since 2011, his latest being last year’s A Wise Guy and a Wise Guy. Bronx vet Kid Capri is on the boards tonight.

Savoir Adore, Tigertown, Arizona @ Baby’s All Right
Underrated Brooklyn pop act Savoir Adore celebrate the release of their new single “Lovers Wake” with the show tonight.

“Terry Riley’s In C” presented by Darmstadt Essential Repertoire @ LPR
Darmstadt’s annual birthday concert this year presents a performance of Terry Riley’s “In C” as performed by an eclectic ensemble including guitarist David Grubbs, clarinetist Joshua Rubin of the ICE Ensemble, and electronic musician Ben Vida.

Buster Pointdexter @ Cafe Carlyle
New York Dolls singer David Johansen puts back on the tux and his party-friendly Buster Poindexter persona for a night of saucy cabaret at this fancypants supper club.

Mike Birbiglia @ The Lynn Redgrave Theater
Comedian Mike Birbiglia has been doing his show “Thank God for the Jokes” for nearly two years. He’s finally putting it to bed, but not before this six-week run.

Chris Gethard, Jo Firestone @ Bell House
Both Jo Firestone and Chris Gethard blur the line between comedian, performance art and “other,” so it’s about time they put their heads together for this show they’re calling “FIREGETH.”

Still Flyin’, My Teenage Stride, O/R/F, James Ausfahrt @ Cake Shop
Led by Sean Rawls, indie pop collective Still Flyin’ has been around since the mid-’00s featuring a revolving lineup, including members of Aislers Set, Versus, Ladybug Transistor and other groups. Tonight also features NYC indie stalwarts My Teenage Stride, Love is All’s James Ausfahrt, and Ladybug offshoot O/R/F. What are the chances that the opening acts will also be playing in Still Flyin’ tonight? Seems likely.
