Aretha Franklin, who cancelled shows earlier this year, playing Long Island & other dates


Aretha Franklin had to unfortunately cancel shows earlier this year, including Radio City Music Hall, due to health issues. On the mend, the soul legend has announced some upcoming shows for late 2016 and early 2017, including an NYC area show on Long Island, where she’ll play The NYCB Theatre at Westbury on May 13. Tickets for that show are currently on Citi Presale and go on sale to the general public Friday (11/18) at 10 AM.

Meanwhile, there’s an Aretha tribute show going down in NYC soon. “Lady Jae” Jones and the Decade of Soul band will perform the tribute twice on November 25 at B.B. King Blues Club, with performances at 5 PM and 7:30 PM. Tickets for both shows are on sale now.
