Asbury Park Music & Film Fest 2018 lineup (Built to Spill, Gov't Mule & more)

The 2018 edition of the Asbury Park Music & Film Festival happens April 27 – 29, 2018. Here’s the initial music lineup:

  • Built to Spill @ House of Independents, April 26
  • Bobby Bandiera & Friends, Patrick Davis & His Midnight Choir @ Stone Pony, April 27
  • North Mississippi Allstars @ House of Independents, April 27
  • Sublime with Rome @ Convention Hall, April 28
  • Low Cut Connie @ The Wonder Bar, April 28

On the film side, the headline event is “An Evening with Danny Devito” at The Paramount Theatre on 4/28 that will include video vignettes, a discussion with DeVito, and a Q&A session. More: a special screening of the Amazon Prime Grateful Dead documentary Long Strange Trip, a screening of Dylan Archives III (4/29), and the world premiere of Break On Thru: A Celebration of Ray Manzarek and The Doors (4/28).

Tickets for all of those APMFF shows and screenings are on sale now.

While not listed on the APMFF schedule yet, Gov’t Mule‘s tour dates list them as playing the festival on April 29 with Tangiers Blues Band (that features noted rock photographer Danny Clinch). According the the Asbury Park Press, the show happens at the Paramount Theatre  following the Grateful Dead documentary screening. Stay tuned for more details.

Meanwhile, Govt Mule have also announced two show right before that at Port Chester’s Capitol Theatre on April 27 & 28. Tickets for the Cap shows go on sale Friday, February 9 at 10 AM. It’s part of a spring tour for Gov’t Mule and all dates are listed below.
