UPDATE: At The Drive In played what might be their final show.

Bad news for those hoping to catch the reunited At The Drive In on tour again soon: according to frontman Cedric Bixler-Zavala, the band’s next show is their last. “I apologize for the heavy emotions tonight,” he wrote on Twitter. “Maybe it’s a sign of weakness to some of you but I had to give a huge thank you to my ATDI family. This was our 2nd to last show. Tomorrow is the last. Don’t know when we’ll play again. Thank you Rio. How do I even sleep now?”

At The Drive In are currently wrapping up a South American tour; tonight’s (11/17) penultimate date was at Circo Voador in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, and tomorrow night’s (11/18) final show is also in Brazil, at Opinião in Porto Alegre. See the setlist from Circo Voador below.

At The Drive In have broken up (and reunited) before; they first disbanded in 2001, a year after releasing their third studio album Relationship of Command, with members going on to form The Mars Volta and Sparta. Eleven years later, ATDI briefly reunited in 2012, then again for a tour in 2016 (without guitarist Jim Ward). Later in 2016, ATDI released their first song since 2000, and in 2017 they released their fourth full length album, in·ter a·li·a.
