Atlanta trio Omni (ex Deerhunter & Carnivores) releasing debut LP on Trouble in Mind (stream "Afterlife")

Atlanta, GA trio Omni features guitarist Frankie Broyles (ex-Deerhunter), and bassist/vocalist Philip Frobos and drummer Billy Mitchell both of whom are formerly of Carnivores. The band’s spiky, minimalistic sound owes more than a little to Wire, Devo and other tightly wound groups of the post-punk era (or early Spoon or Field Music for that matter). The band will release their debut album, Deluxe, via Trouble in Mind on July 8. The first single and opening cut on the LP is “Afterlife,” and you can watch the video below.
