Au Revoir Simone ready 'Move in Spectrums' (stream a track)

Brooklyn’s Au Revoir Simone, who are celebrating their 10-year anniversary this year, are back with their new album, Move in Spectrums, which will be out via Moshi Moshi/Instant on September 24. Cover art is below. The record was produced by Violens’ Jorge Elbrecht, who also produced ARS member Erika Spring‘s 2012 solo single (and albums by No Joy, Ice Choir and others). ARS’ brand of synthpop has always been pretty minimal but they seem to be heading into decidedly more dancey territory here, which is a good thing I think. At least on the album’s first single is “Somebody Who,” which you can stream below.

The ladies haven’t announced any tour dates in their hometown or anywhere else in North America, but they will be playing shows in Europe around the release of the album. Those dates are listed below.
