Midnight Magic @ Beauty Bar - 1/28/2012

What's cool is that Learning Secrets parties are rather unpretentious considering the crowd drawn and the talent booked. Packed, but unpretentious. We're not talking bottle service and velvet ropes, we're talking divey dance floors of sheer abandon.

For Learning Secret's 8th birthday celebration on Saturday night, Ian Orth and eramy Neugent Neugent [flew in] Midnight Magic from New York -- a six-piece disco ensemble comprised of members of Hercules & Love Affair -- for a special, one-off show. [CultureMap]

Crazy night Saturday in Austin as Ted Leo and friends celebrated Esme Barrera, power went out on 6th St. which cut the Oh Snap! fest short, Beauty Ballroom hosted a cast of characters including Daniel Johnston for their Grand Opening weekend, and Beauty Bar hosted an 8th Anniversary party for Learning Secrets.
