Bauhaus turns 35 this year, and Peter Murphy celebrated on Tuesday (4/23) by performing only Bauhaus (and songs they covered) at The Belmont as part of his MR. MOONLIGHT TOUR. On the idea of having all of the original members with him Peter stated, "This is not a replacement band; this is a better band." Zing!

Austin locals (by way of NOLA) My Jerusalem kicked off the night with a warm set. That was welcome, since it got cold quickly.

Peter and co. performed their 16 song set, which included covers of "Ziggy Stardust" and "Telegram Sam" a la Bauhaus, and multiple encores. See more pictures of Peter Murphy and My Jerusalem, plus Murphy's setlist, below...

This weekend The Belmont at 305 W. 6th Street (where we held one of our official SXSW parties) celebrates its official Grand Opening starting with Mike Relm with All My Friends (A Tribute to LCD Soundsystem) on Friday, 4/13. RJD2 has limited dates announced at the moment. One of those is the Nowadays Festival in Bethlehem, PA tonight. Another is in Chicago in April. And it was just revealed that RJD2 will hit the Belmont in Austin on July 12th. Tickets are on sale. All dates are listed below...

We were in disbelief when he graced the stage of one of our SXSW day parties back in 2009, and we're more than honored to have helped put together a show for him to celebrate his new comic book/app Space Ducks happening at The Belmont Lounge at SXSW TONIGHT (3/13).
