tUnE-yArDs @ Mohawk - 5/30/2012

After taping an episode for Austin City Limits on 5/29, tUnE-yArDs came to a sold-out and sweltering outdoor stage at The Mohawk on 5/30 to wrap up their time in Austin (with Deep Time -- which we sadly weren't in time to cover).

The next stop on their tour is NYC's Terminal 5 tonight (6/1), and they'll work their way down the east coast through D.C., Virginia, and North Carolina, and then on to Bonnaroo.

Reggie Watt

Speaking of handsome comedians that were at SXSW and also ROCK, the great Reggie Watts just announced a tour that brings the afro'd one back to Austin on May 26 at Scottish Rite Theater. Tickets are on sale.

Reggie Watts is also on the just-announced lineup of comedians that will be at Bonnaroo this year. Others are Aziz Ansari, Steven Wright, Marc Maron, Brian Posehn, Judah Freidlander, Rhys Darby, Colin Hay, Garfunkle & Oats, Amy Schumer, Pete Holmes, Rory Scovel, Mike O' Connell, Ali Wong, and Kyle Kinane.

Some of those other comedians were also at SXSW, and some will be in Austin in April for Moontower.

ACL

Lollapalooza (Chicago). New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival (New Orleans). Bonnaroo (Manchester, Tennessee); Austin City Limits (Austin, Texas).

Those are the four major summer music festivals in the United States that YouTube, in partnership with Dell, will be live-streaming.

What you can expect: multiple live channels, behind-the-scenes content and exclusive artist interviews. Says Robert Kyncl, global head of content for YouTube. [TNW]

In related news, early bird Lollapalooza tickets go on sale March 27th. ACL tickets go on sale "Spring 2012".

Radiohead

In terms of rumors of who will be headlining Bonnaroo this year, Radiohead, who are also headlining both Coachellas, seems to be in the lead. Meanwhile, we can be happy knowing we have not one, but two Austin shows to look forward do. As previously mentioned, Radiohead are taping an episode of Austin City Limits this year. Yesterday they announced the date and how to get tickets:

It probably goes without saying that here at ACL TV HQ we have a big wish list. (Not to mention a fondness for initials.) So we're always excited when an artist from that list moves over to our taping schedule. We're thrilled that Radiohead is the latest name to make the transition. The band, who is on tour in support of their latest LP The King of Limbs, brings their legendary live show to ACL Live at The Moody on March 6 to dazzle our cameras and, of course, our audience.

As always there will be a public giveaway. Be sure to keep an eye on our Facebook and Twitter pages – and, of course, the blog – for information on how you can witness this most highly acclaimed and beloved of bands in ACL action.

But's that's not all because we are so excited, we are offering a pair of tickets to one lucky person for signing up for our newsletter. Sign up today for a chance to win a pair of tickets to what will certainly be one of the most talked about ACL tapings in recent history.
Stay tuned.

March 6th is one day before they play the Frank Erwin Center with Other Lives.

MeanwhileMeanwhile, tickets go on sale today for Death Cab and Chris Isaac.
