Mynabirds @ Mohawk - 7/28/2012
The Mynabirds brought their tour to Austin over the weekend for a show Mohawk on Saturday (7/28) with Deep Time and My Jerusalem. That show was happening on Mohawk's inside stage, while Murder by Death and Cory Chisel were playing the outside stage.
I got caught up at a previous engagement for most of the night, but made it in time to catch The Mynabirds' set, more pictures of which you can check out below...

As you know, Hotel Vegas is turning into "Hotel Vegan" this SXSW, but only during the days. At night we'll hand the venue over to SXSW who will host official showcases on at least one of the venue's three stages. On Wednesday and Thursday that honor belongs to our friends at Sub Pop spinoff Hardly Art. Check out the lineups in the poster above, with more info and set times below...
The above-pictured tweet by Austin band YellowFever was posted in November. Last week they posted just two words to their Facebook Wall, and those two words were "Deep Time" which happens to be the name of the band opening for Octopus Project at Mohawk on 2/10 (it also says "formerly YellowFever" after their name on the bill). Legal problems solved.
