As mentioned, Paul McCartney is going on a tour this year which will include his first-ever Austin show on May 22 at the Frank Erwin Center. That show has since sold out, but Paul added what will be his second-ever Austin show, happening at the same venue a day later. Tickets for the newly-added show are on sale now.

As mentioned on BrooklynVegan, Paul McCartney is beginning to schedule some North American dates for his 2013 'Out There' tour, and he's just announced that the tour will include his first ever Austin show. That show happens on May 22 at the Frank Erwin Center. Tickets for that show go on sale via Live Nation and Texas Box Office on Friday, April 12 at 10 AM with an AmEx presale starting Tuesday (4/9) at 10 AM.

Van Halen just cancelled a ton of tour dates including a 9/13 Austin show at the Frank Erwin Center that was supposed to go on sale today. However, their previously announced Texas shows which are scheduled to happen much sooner seem to still be happening.

The Black Keys came to Frank Erwin with the Arctic Monkeys last night, 4/25, (while Bon Iver was taping over at ACL). How was the show?

The headliners, who recently invited John Fogerty to play with them at Coachella, played a 20-song set, finishing off the night with the help of a giant disco ball during the encore. One night after taping an episode of Austin City Limits at the Moody Theater, Radiohead headlined a sold out show at Austin's Frank Erwin Center.

Update: After the show, Thom made his way over to The Parish and DJ'd with Nigel Godrich.

Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers are coming to the Frank Erwin Center on Saturday, May 5th. Tickets go on sale Friday morning (1/20) at 10am. Somewhat surprisingly the opener of the show will be Regina Spektor who will be releasing a new album that same month.

Regina also has a show coming up in NYC.

P.S. does anyone know where Tom Petty is from?

Kendrick Lamar is going on tour with Drake and A$AP Rocky, which hits Austin's Frank Erwin Center on February 27.

Before that tour kicks off, Kendrick will be playing his own show at the new Beauty Ballroom on January 20. Tickets for that show are on sale now.
