As mentioned on BrooklynVegan, the 2013 ACL Festival (10 4 - 10/6; 10/11 - 10/13) was just announced, with Depeche Mode, The Cure, Muse, Vampire Weekend, The National, Phoenix, Wilco and many more among the acts playing this year. Weekend passes are on sale now and the full line-up is at BV.

The Joy Formidable are currently on a tour which hit NYC last week for two shows with Blood Red Shoes. We just posted pictures of their Webster Hall show (4/18) on BrooklynVegan, and we've got a set of pictures from their Music Hall of Williamsburg show (4/17) in this post.

The Joy Formidable's tour continues and includes a short run with IO Echo that hits TX for shows in Dallas at Tree's on April 29, in Austin at Emo's East on April 30, and in Houston at Fitzgeralds on May 1. Tickets for the Emo's East show are available.

The Belmont has beeng taken over during part of SXSW by "The Warner Sound Captured by Nikon" with sets from many pop and hip-hop up-and-comers. Tuesday (3/12) featured sets by Charli XCX, Icona Pop (whose hit "I Love It" was written by Charli), Rockie Fresh, Action Bronson, Sirah, Blondfire and headliners (and internet sensations) Macklemore & Ryan Lewis. You can check out more pics from their sets below.

Tonight is the final Warner Sound Captured by Nikon event with a huge line-up featuring The Flaming Lips, Alt-J, The Joy Formidable, Frightened Rabbit, Atlas Genius, Surfer Blood and Guards. For those who can't attend in person, the show is being streamed live starting at 8 PM CDT.

VICE is coming to Austin for SXSW and will be taking over 401 E Cesar Chavez for VICELAND, which includes events from March 8-11 during the interactive portion, and from March 12-16 during the music portion. The music events feature a ton of bands like Kendrick Lamar, Action Bronson, Baauer (DJ), Parquet Courts, Snoop Lion, Major Lazer, Ghostface, Danny Brown, Divine Fits, Japandroids, Wavves, Austra, Merchandise, and many more. RSVP is open.

Last month, SXSW revealed its first round of artists for their 2013 festival, which happens from March 12-17, and now they've revealed a second announcement with way more artists. The new announcement includes Allo Darlin', Angel Haze, Audacity, Black Moth Super Rainbow, Blood Diamonds, Bonde Do Role, Deap Vally, Dessa, Eaux, Sky Ferreira, Flatbush Zombies, Foxygen, Girl Unit, Hundred Waters, Hunters, Major Lazer, Ms Mr, Nguzunguzu, Nu Sensae, Palma Violets, Paws, Peace, PS I Love You, Ratking, Rhye, Savages, Shout Out Louds, The Soft Moon, Thee Oh Sees, Toro y Moi, Ume, Wavves, and many more.
